I've had sore muscles because I enjoyed badminton in the afternoon of last Sunday. I belong to a badminton team which members consist of PTA. Every Sunday we practice and play some game but I had stopped playing badminton because I hurt my elbow. Now my elbow seems to be OK...
In the morning of last Sunday, I went to Expo'70 Memorial Park in order to take some photos for the photo quest. I know it's the best season for COSMOS.
Anyway, I took photos of cosmos in the morning, played badminton in the afternoon and had two drinking parties at night of the Sunday. I had a very sleepy day on Monday :D
OK...my entry for "Out of Focus" is as follows:
It becomes cooler and cooler day by day, especially in the morning and at night in Osaka, Japan. Autumn has come already. I went to a mountain side of Ibaraki city to take "Car Rides" photos and to look for something of autumn.
Autumn is a harvest season for rice. In this season, I know there are some red flowers beside rice paddles. It's "cluster amaryllis" or "spider lily", one of my favorite flowers.
After getting off a ropeway, I and my family were surrounded by trees and green leaves at Mt. Katsuragi. We walked a small path for several minutes, then, suddenly, we found a number of pink azalea flowers there! What we were able to say in front of the pink carpet was just "Wow..." It was somewhat strange but fantastic view.
Though SAKURA is one of the most Japanese things, I love dogwood blossoms as well. There's a nice story about dogwood in Japan. As Emjay introduced cherry trees beside the Potomac River, Tokyo sent cherry trees to DC in 1912. DC sent dogwood trees to Tokyo in requital for the cherry trees in 1915. Because of the goodwill between DC and Tokyo, I can enjoy dogwood blossoms in Japan. Thanks.

I had a chance to visit Kyoto yesterday. I was looking forward to seeing cherry blossoms as it was the best timing for it. Though it was rainy, I enjoyed beautiful flowers, Kyoto view and taking photos in the rain. Taking photos with having my umbrella was sooooo difficult!
I wen to Expo'90 Memorial Park with my family yesterday. Expo'90 is The International Garden and Greenery Exposition,Osaka,Japan,1990. I was a college student in 1990 and visited the expo with my friend. I just remember numbers of people were there and we had to wait very long time to go in pavilion...
It's Prunus Youkou. The most famous variety of cherry blossoms is "someiyoshino, Prunus × yedoensis." Youkou-zakura is not so famous but its pink flowers are so beautiful.

I'm not too sure, but your PC can indicate Japanese Kanji character on the display. Well, camellia is called "TSUBAKI" in Japanese. Its Kanji character is "椿", which is divided into two parts: left part "木" means "wood" and right part "春" means "spring."
These tiny yellow flowers are so pretty, aren't they? It's Chimonanthus praecox, another sign of spring. We enjoyed so nice aroma of these flowers as well.
