Photo Quest #81 - Show me your shoes

For most of Japanese people, December is a season of year-end parties. Year-end is just a reason for alcohol lovers to have parties. Such people, including me, easily detect a good reason for making a toast.

Anyway, there are a little too much parties in this December for me. I was not able to maintain my time for the photo quest, so I brought my cameras to such parties and asked my friends whether I can take their shoes.

hehehe, as you can imagine, most of my photos of my friends' shoes are mess; out of focus, blur, too much dark and so on. I selected four photos of shoes for the photo quest as follows:

Photo Quest #80 - What makes you thankful

What makes me thankful... the answer is easy. It's your invitation to Photo Quest group, Maureen :) The group gives me many vox friends, opportunities of photographing, great techniques and knowledge. Only one bad thing is there: I really want to have the latest camera body and many excellent lenses, haha.

@Expo'70 Memorial Park

I had a Japanese sake (rice wine) party with my friends on last Sunday. It stated from 14:30 and we enjoyed good taste of many kinds of sake alcohols and homemade dishes. We talked, drunk, talked, cooked, ate, drunk and drunk... At 05:00 in the next morning, we finished the party :D We, maybe 10 people, drunk 10liters sake, 1.4liters red wine, several cans of beer and 0.7liters wisky on the day. It was soooo long but happy hours, hehe. I hope vox friends join us next time :) Nov. 23 was a national holiday in Japan so I slept until noon on Monday.

Fortunately I didn't have a hungover when I woke up at noon. I visited Expo'70 Memorial Park with my camera.

These photos were taken on the same day when we went to Mt. Gomadan. From my friend's house, we went through Mt. Koya to get Mt. Gomadan. After taking photos in the morning and early afternoon at Mt. Gomadan, we went back to Mt. Koya in order to take a rest. Of course, we were not able to take a rest because there were so beautiful autumn leaves. It was my very first time that I finished my 2GB SD memory card. I took 480 photos on the day (;^^).

For your reference, Mt. Koya is one of very spiritual places in Japan. There are so many temples and Mt. Koya is known as the headquarters of Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism.

Photo Quest #79 - Show Me Your Creative Photos of Pets

Our only pet is him, Stag Beetle. He flew into a balcony of one of my friends in this June. My friend caught the stag beetle and gave him to me for my kids. Thanks my friend!

These cats were found near my house. Though I posted them before, I like to post them again as they're so cute.

The stag beetle sleeps under a piece of wood recently as it must be too cold for him. I took away the piece of wood and made him wake up for my photo. Sorry our stag beetle!

It was a national holiday on November 3 in Japan. My PENTAX friend invited me to go to Mt. Gomadan to take some photos of autumn leaves. Of course, my answer was "YES." I left my house at 4:00 a.m. and got his house at 4:50 a.m. After one and a half hour drive from his house, we got the mountain at 6:30 a.m. It was soooo cold outside and we had to heat up our batteries to continue shooting.

No colorful autumn leaves around 1000m or higher place (;^^)

Our purpose to visit there was... yes, autumn leaves. We went down to place lower than 1000m.

It wasn't a good condition because of heavy cloud, taking photos in the mountain was so impressive and interesting. Fresh air, biting cold, sudden sunshine through wisps of cloud, beautiful autumn leaves, taking photos with my friend... all the things are my good memories.

Photo Quest - #78 Diagonal lines

Looking for diagonal lines in my past photos was so interesting :)
I found them in the sky... Electric wires divide the sky into many pieces.

I fond them in a station... There are many diagonal lines in a station.

Sometimes I found them in my town...

It's a roof of Tokyo Big Site. The roof consists of many diagonal lines.

Photo Quest #76 - Out of Focus

I've had sore muscles because I enjoyed badminton in the afternoon of last Sunday. I belong to a badminton team which members consist of PTA. Every Sunday we practice and play some game but I had stopped playing badminton because I hurt my elbow. Now my elbow seems to be OK...
In the morning of last Sunday, I went to Expo'70 Memorial Park in order to take some photos for the photo quest. I know it's the best season for COSMOS.
Anyway, I took photos of cosmos in the morning, played badminton in the afternoon and had two drinking parties at night of the Sunday. I had a very sleepy day on Monday :D
